GC 2024-2029 QEP Planning Timeline

Fall 2021

  • Convene QEP Steering Committee (including students, faculty, staff, administrators)
  • Hold QEP informational sessions
  • Identify possible QEP topics (townhall, departmental, community, board meetings)
Spring 2022

  • Draft topic proposals
  • Present QEP topic proposals in stakeholder meetings
  • Administer final QEP topic selection survey
  • Present QEP to University Senate and President’s Cabinet
Summer 2022

  • Research and draft QEP Review of Literature
Fall 2022

  • Design and draft preliminary QEP Assessment and Evaluation Plan
  • Identify and recommend Lead Evaluator to SACSCOC (choice 1 and 2)
Spring 2023

  • Draft remaining QEP proposal (Executive Summary, Goals and Best Practices, Involvement, Commitment of Resources)
  • Draft QEP budget ("Initiate, Implement, Complete")
Summer 2023

  • Complete QEP Draft Proposal
  • Identify editor (external)
  • Hire QEP director
Fall 2023

  • (Compliance Certification due to SACSCOC, Sept. 8)
  • Send QEP for edit (external)
  • QEP due to SACSCOC (Dec. 1)
  • Convene QEP Implementation Team
  • Onboard new QEP Director
  • Collect baseline data
Spring 2024

  • On-site visit (Jan-Apr), including “grand” QEP presentation
  • Convene QEP Implementation Team
  • Collect baseline data
Summer 2024

  • Plan QEP implementation
Fall 2024

  • Compliance Certificate and QEP reviewed by C&R Committee
  • Refine QEP re: final recommendations from C&R
  • Implement QEP
